Sources & Display Criteria

Business information

The business names, addresses, phone numbers and website links published on this site are maintained from independently reviewed sources and owner or user submissions. We do not obtain these published business facts by querying Google Places, or use Google ratings, reviews or photos to populate the directory. Google Maps is used for map display and Google Geocoding for address-to-coordinate conversion; these are separate from the collection of business facts. We check these facts using business and organization websites, public professional pages, other independently searched sources, and submitted corrections. Newspaper and third-party directories may be used as references for names, addresses and phone numbers; a directory entry alone does not establish current operation.

Website links point to a business's own site or a person's page on their organization's site, rather than newspaper or third-party directory entries. Internal records retain the sources and dates used for checks. Sources and check dates vary by listing.

What a listing means

An internet match is not a phone call, an on-site inspection, or confirmation that a business is currently operating. Inclusion does not certify Korean ownership, language availability, licensing, service quality or an affiliation with this site. Unresolved listings are withheld from the public directory. Information may change; confirm details directly before visiting or using a service.

Maps and location

Google Maps provides the base map. Address geocoding is used to position map markers. Google Places information, ratings, reviews and photos are not used for the current published business listings. Map markers can be approximate or shared by businesses in the same building. Listings without a usable physical location may appear only in the list.

Google Maps links open an external service with its own information and terms. A map or directions link does not mean Google supplied or verified the business facts shown here.

Coordinate storage and renewal

For newly approved listings managed by our coordinate cache, Google Geocoding latitude and longitude are cached separately from business information for up to 29 days. The production cache automatically deletes these coordinates at expiry. Subsequent directory requests automatically attempt to obtain fresh coordinates from the submitted address, without using the Places API or storing Google-formatted addresses. Concurrent renewal requests are limited; unsuccessful lookups may be retried after five minutes. Until renewal succeeds, the listing may remain available without a map marker.

Coordinates explicitly supplied by an administrator are identified separately. Older imported coordinates are not yet covered by this renewal workflow. Google-derived information remains subject to Google Maps Platform service terms.

How listings are displayed

Search, category and region selections determine which listings appear. The default list order uses this site's accumulated business-click counts, with business name used to break ties. These counts are not customer reviews, recommendations or measures of quality. When distance sorting is selected, results use straight-line distance from the location you allow us to use, not travel distance. Map zoom and overlapping locations may affect which labels are visible.

OpenStreetMap road names

Some nearby road labels shown when zooming in use data from © OpenStreetMap contributors, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). See OpenStreetMap Copyright and Attribution for details.

This data retains the rights granted by its original licence, separately from restrictions on copying this site's own code and design. Region boundaries and highlighted roads also use public geographic data from Toronto, York Region and Mississauga.
